Users can reduce costs by using a common blade system for different cutting tools and different aluminum machining applications.
The tool is designed for high-speed applications with a maximum diameter of up to 250 mm. It is ideal for roughing and finishing of aluminum as well as coating milling and finishing of bimetallic parts.
Its compact design and special chip deflection, coupled with directing the coolant directly to the cutting edge, means that the replaceable chip deflector removes the chips from the part to ensure high part quality and process reliability.
Standard indexable inserts allow one tool to be used for multiple applications; PCD grades are optimized for different tasks. All blades have a seat groove and are fixed in the blade seat by a wedge clamp to prevent centrifugal force and ensure excellent stability even at extremely high speeds. The axial cutting edge adjustment can adjust the runout to one or two micrometers.
